Question 1: What is your opinion about the President Trump’s immigration policies that are affecting people across the country?

"I personally think his policies are discriminatory and it targets third racial and religious individuals. His policies abuse power. It’s a disgrace to the founding principles to the American democracy."

Question 2: What if anything concerns you about the new law?

"The law is the travel ban. I think it can cause religious issues. A large number of people are first generation immigrants. They aren’t allowed to travel back and forth across the border. These laws can create tension between the muslims and americans. It can cause distance within these individuals that are being targeted."

Question 3: Why should or why shouldn’t illegal immigrants be detained?

"They shouldn't because they're stereotyping and using precinct walls. They’re being prejudice. People are asserting ethnicity and categorizing one category. It's an abuse power by authorities for discretizing individuals for no reason. I understand the security but why target one race?"

Question 4: Do you personally know someone who is illegal? How does that influence your opinion?

"Why make something that affects you that doesn't have to do deal with you? It makes me feel good. Texas State denied it at first, then the university accepted it. I think Texas State is getting the campus to gain prospective student and parents to trust to attend the university."

Question 6: Do you think Donald Trump’s immigration policies will last long? How did it affect the American people?

"Immigration is a topic that has been brewing for a while. It’s a sensitive topic because of race. His policy is negative but he also brings it to light. People are more aware of what's going on. There’s more protests. People are getting more involved and informed within politics. His laws won't last long."
