SAN MARCOS- Chandler Jordan Watson, 20, is a junior Mass Communications major with a concentration in digital media and a minor in theater at Texas State University.
Before coming to college, Chandler grew up as an only child in a city near Houston called Brookshire, Texas. Even though Chandler lives near Houston, he only cares for one of their teams, the Houston Rockets. Due to being the devoted Houston Rockets fan that Chandler is, it drove him to pursue sports at a young age. Chandler became a triple threat mastering the games of basketball, football and baseball, with his basketball team making it all the way to state! Chandler is not only an artist on the court or field, but an artist of music and theater. He was the lead role in the production of Little Shop of Horrors, and the saxophone section leader in the band! As a member of Future Farmers of America, Chandler raised three pigs and also owns three horses!
With a love for traveling, Chandler has found himself touring San Francisco, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and Washington D.C. Right before school started, Chandler broadened his travels on a cruise that took him to Jamaica, Cozumel and the Cayman Islands.
Fast forward to today. Chandler is a KTSW employee working in the sports department as well as production. If you can't find him at the studio, you might see Chandler driving around in his huge Ford F-250, sporting a fresh Carhart.
