Quixem Ramirez, a guy who loves things and writes about stuff

Quixem Ramirez was the 2015 Love Editor for The University Star.

SAN MARCOS - When Quixem Ramirez is not working as the Love Editor for The University Star (see photo attached), he is either sleeping, writing about sports or eating Taco Bell -- sometimes in that order.

Ramirez' first love -- among many -- is basketball. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas, watching the excellence of the San Antonio Spurs, spearheaded by the (extra) excellence of Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan. Those dudes are great at their jobs, to say the least, and they embody everything that I want to be.

Ramirez' second love is sports, in general. Rather than play them, he writes about them mostly because he realized at a young age that he wouldn't grow past 5-feet-6. Ramirez also wasn't blessed with athletic ability, motor skills or anything that could help in his pursuit of a NBA career. But alas. Ramirez watches an obscene amount of sports, to the point where he identifies with teams and players in a too personal way.

His third love -- and he'll top listing them here for the sake of brevity -- is television. Ramirez' favorite television show is Breaking Bad and he may or may not fight you if you disagree. Other shows he enjoys, in no particular order: Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Parks and Recreation, Sherlock, The Walking Dead, True Detective, Better Call Saul, How I Met Your Mother ... and that's it for now.

Before he finishes this post, Ramirez should mention that he is the sports editor for The University Star, where he spends most of his time during the week. Ramirez is fortunate to be apart of an organization with several talented people (there are way too much people to list here) that accept and allow him to thrive.

Thank you and goodnight,
The Love Editor
