SAN MARCOS- Bobcat Promotions public relations organization announced its first trip to New York City, NY Tuesday.
Chuck Kaufman, senior lecturer and faculty adviser for Bobcat Promotions, encouraged public relations students to get first hands on experience on their first ever group trip to the big city. The student run organization will provide each student with a structured environment in which to learn about each firm they visit.
"Bobcat Promotions offers students an opportunity to replicate the real world business atmosphere, skills in teamwork, and group dynamics," Kaufman said.
Kaufman said the trip is going to be educational for all the students involved. They plan to visit the New York Mets Public relations firm and meet with some of the heads of the corporation. A lot is in store for the young minds. "We will be visiting the United Nations and speaking with Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson for the Secretary-General Ban-Ki-Moon, Kaufman said."
The trip is available to juniors and seniors, but priority will be given to the seniors above all else. It is only available to those who have been with Bobcat Promotions for over a year, or for those students who have been really involved. Visiting New York and all of its attractions will cost each student around $600, and will be at the expense of each individual who plans to attend.
Students will find that the trip will take place from January 4th through the 9th of next year.
