Bobcat Promotions announces first trip to New York

SAN MARCOS- Bobcat Promotions, a student-led public relations firm, will be taking their first trip to New York City in January.
Senior Lecturer and faculty adviser for Bobcat Promotions, Charles Kaufman, announced that
this trip is open to members of Bobcat Promotions that are Juniors and Seniors, and there will be 15-16 spots available.
"This trip will be eye opening" said Kaufman. This trip will give students a hands on experience with visiting various PR firms and allowing them to see what goes on in a big city.
"Bobcat Promotions offers students a slice of the real world" Kaufman said. He mentioned how many students haven't had the opportunity to step foot outside of Texas, so this trip will provide many life learning experiences.
Some confirmed places that will be visited during this trip is Ogilvy Public Relations Agency, the New York Mets, and will also students will be speaking with, Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. "New York is the media capital of the world...we are open to everything." Kaufman said
