10 things to know about working in PR



Anne Tiedt will be speaking Thursday, Oct. 23, at 8:00 a.m. in the Centennial building as one of many speakers for this year's Mass Comm Week. Tiedt's speech is intitled "10 things to know about working in PR." Professional speakers will be giving speeches and further insight to their area of expertise to give students a brief look at what their future could hold.

Tiedt's resume includes:
  • Communications Manager at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center
  • Sr. Acct. Executive at TateAustin
  • Communications Associate at Austin Symphony Orchestra
Tiedt "is the President-Elect for the Austin Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications, where she has been a member for the past 11 years." Her most recent work was with the Town Lake Trail Foundation on the April 2007 dedication of the new Zilker Bluffs area along Town Lake Trail. Tiedt is currently self employed as a Public Relations and Business Communications Consultant.
